A new detailed geologic map of the moon has been issued by China.<\/strong><\/td>Based on data from the Chang’e project, Chinese scientists have generated a high-resolution topography map of the moon.

There are 12,341 impact craters, 81 impact basins, 17 rock kinds, and 14 structural types on the map.

The scale of the latest complete geologic map of the moon is 1:2,500,000.

The project was directed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Geochemistry, as well as other institutions.

On the moon, the new map will aid scientific research, exploration, and landing site selection.

Previously, in the year 2020, the USGS Astrogeology Science Centre issued a lunar map at a scale of 1:5,000,000.<\/td><\/tr>

For changing customer requirements, competition, and the technical environment, PSBs will continue to invest in next-generation capabilities and deepen existing advancements under EASE 5.0.
