The rocket is known as the Space Launch System (SLS). It is being transported to Pad 39B at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida for a launch on August 29th.

It will be a lunar demonstration launch as part of NASA’s Artemis programme.

The first flight is an unmanned test launch. Future missions, on the other hand, will return people to the lunar surface for the first time in nearly 50 years.

According to media sources, NASA has backup launch dates on September 2nd and 5th.

Program Artemis:

It is a human spaceflight mission led by NASA to explore the moon. It began in December of 2017.

It intends to make the first landing on the lunar South Pole by 2024.
