The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985 makes it illegal for anybody to produce, manufacture, cultivate, or use any narcotic substance.

The 1988 Prevention of Illicit Trade in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (PITNDPS) includes measures for stopping the illicit traffic in narcotic drugs and psychoactive substances.

These bacteria were found on the surfaces of rotting mangrove leaves in shallow tropical marine marshes.

Professor of marine biology at the University of the Antilles Olivier Gros made the discovery of this creature.

Its design is based on the Astra air-to-air missile, a Beyond Visual Range missile.

The VL-crucial SRSAM’s components are thrust vectoring and cruciform wings.

It would encourage original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in India to produce safer automobiles via healthy competition.

The testing procedures for Bharat NCAP would be in line with the Global Crash Test Protocols, according to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

The capital of Austria, Vienna, has been named the “most liveable” city in the world, according to a research by the Economist Intelligence Unit.

Vienna took the top spot in the Global Liveability Index 2022 from Auckland, which fell to 34th place as a result of coronavirus pandemic restrictions.

Zurich, Switzerland, and Copenhagen, Denmark, respectively, occupy the second and third positions.

Along with Vancouver and Geneva, Calgary is ranked third.

Six European cities are in the top 10 on this ranking. Melbourne and Osaka are tied for tenth place.

New Delhi, the capital of India, came in at number 112 on the list of the most livable cities, while Mumbai came in at number 117.

Among the least livable cities in the world are Karachi and Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

The category “Award for Service Entrepreneurship – Service Small Enterprise (Overall)” was won by Sumeet Mohanty Saferisk Insurance Brokers Private Limited, Bhubaneswar.

In the category “National MSME Award 2022 to Aspirational districts for exceptional contribution in the development and Development of MSME Sector,” Kalahandi took third place.

In all, 44 categories received the National MSME Award 2022.

States, UTs, and Aspirational Districts have received the National MSME Award for their sector-specific policies and performance, grievance redressal, cluster strategy implementation, etc.

It can work in hybrid mode and can use solar and an auxiliary energy source simultaneously. It can work in all weather conditions.

‘Surya Nutan’ cooktop can be used even when the sun is not visible for several days.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC): It is a Maharatna PSU that was formed in 1959. It is under the ownership of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

13.The RBI released proposed IT outsourcing rules for banks and NBFCs.

The central bank will not need to approve the outsourcing of IT-enabled services for regulatory entities (REs) in advance, according to the RBI’s draught on outsourcing of information technology (IT) services.

A thorough board-approved IT outsourcing policy must be developed by banks, payment banks, cooperative banks, credit information businesses, NBFCs, and other regulated firms.

For the purpose of addressing consumer complaints regarding outsourced services, the RBI has also suggested creating a strong grievance redressal process.

The risk management framework for the outsourcing of IT services will need to include the identification, measurement, mitigation/management, and reporting of risks related to outsourcing, according to the draught.

The document also describes the function of the board and senior management in addition to standards on the usage of cloud computing services and outsourcing of security operations centres (SoCs).

RBI has until July 22 to receive comments on this draught from interested parties.
14.Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia were given candidate status by the European Union.

The ultimate vote on Ukraine’s membership would take place in the European Council, which consists of the leaders of all 27 EU nations.
