1.The first virtual global skills summit was co-chaired by Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi.The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), Ministry of Education (MoE), and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship have organised the first Virtual Global Skill Summit.

The Summit was attended by Indian ambassadors who represented Indian missions in ten different nations.

The summit’s major objective was to formalise a system for exchanging data on India’s skill availability and other countries’ skill requirements.

The goal of the Virtual Global Skill Summit (VGSS) was to improve global mobility, employability, and other factors by focusing on skill harmonisation and qualification benchmarking, quality standardisation, capacity building, and information exchange.

According to NSDC International’s report, finding and keeping a trained workforce of high calibre will be a big problem in the years to come.

10.According to NASSCOM, a 5G telecom network could increase India’s GDP by 2% by 2030.The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and Arthur D. Little have published a report.
